The substrate must be load-bearing, dimensionally stable, solid and free from loose particles, dust, oil, grease, rubber marks and other substances that could adversely affect adhesion. The tensile bond strength of the substrate must be at least 1.5 N/mm² (minimum value: 1.0 N/mm²). The compressive strength must be at least 25 N/mm².

Consumption
  1. Primer: Cuore EP 1250 or Cuore EP 1950: 0.250 - 0.350 kg/m² (per layer)
  2. Scratch coat: Epoxy EP 1250 + GE 100 (Mixing ratio 1:1 to 1:1.5): 1 - 1.5 kg/m²
  3. Self-levelling layer: Cuore PSL 5450 with decorative aggregates: 2.7 kg/m² (at a thickness of 2 mm)
  4. Broadcast: Decorative aggregates: depending on the desired effect
  5. Top coat (1st coat): Cuore WPT 5450 TM: 0.100 - 0.120 kg/m²
  6. Top coat (2nd coat): Cuore WPT 5450 TM: 0.100 - 0.120 kg/m²

All values are theoretical and do not take into account additional product required due to the porosity of the substrate, the surface profile or differences in level, nor material losses.

Temperature
  • Product: +15 °C min. / +30 °C max.
  • Ambient temperature: +15 °C min. / +30 °C max.
  • Surface temperature: +15 °C min. / +30 °C max.
Humidity
  • Relative humidity: 80% max.
  • Dew point: watch out for condensation! The temperature of the substrate and of the uncured product must be at least 3 °C higher than the dew point, in order to reduce the risk of condensation or white efflorescence forming on the surface of the applied product.
  • Moisture content of the substrate < 4% (by weight)
Installation method
  • The terrazzo effect is created by a combination of decorative aggregates and broadcasting aggregates into the freshly laid self-levelling layer.
