Measures to control exposure / personal protection
General protective and health measures when working with epoxy and polyurethane resins:
- Keep products away from food and drink
- Remove contaminated clothing immediately
- Always wash your hands before breaks and at the end of the working day
- Store protective clothing separately
- Do not eat or drink while using the products
Respiratory protection:
- Make sure there is sufficient ventilation at the workplace
- Respiratory protection is required where ventilation is insufficient, when spraying the material or at high concentrations of the material
- A combination filter A-P2 is recommended for short-term use
Glove material:
- The glove material must be impermeable and resistant to the mixture used
- The choice of suitable gloves depends not only on the material but also on other quality characteristics, which differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. How long gloves can be worn during the work depends on the penetration time of the product used; the exact penetration time is known to the manufacturer. According to EN 16523-1:2015 a maximum wearing time of 50% of the penetration time is recommended.
- For short-term protection and splash protection we recommend using gloves made of nitrile rubber or natural rubber.
- For prolonged use or at higher concentrations we recommend using PVC gloves.
- Gloves must protect at least the wrist and part of the forearm
Eye protection:
- Close-fitting eye protection
- Toughened or plastic lenses
- Protection against splashing / flying particles and liquids
