All values are theoretical and do not take into account any additional product needed because of the porosity of the substrate, the surface profile or differences in level, nor material losses, etc.

  • Dew point                         :  Beware of condensation! The temperature of the substrate and of the uncured product must be at least 3 °C above the dew point in order to reduce the risk of condensation or white bloom on the surface of the applied product.

  • ​Mixing and applying
    The material is best applied between 10 and 30 °C. Mix the material with a mechanical mixer. Fill with the required amount of water (19-21%) per kg of powder material, followed by the powder material added while stirring. Do not mix MD Eco STUC with anything other than clean water.
    A small test must be carried out before application in order to adjust the correct amount of water in the mix and to test the curing time. Air flow, temperature, humidity and substrate moisture affect the workability and drying time of the product. There may also be small variations in the mixing ratio depending on the colour and the pigments used.
    We recommend using a mixer. Smaller quantities applied to walls can be mixed with a drill. The material must be mixed intensively for 2 minutes, left to rest for 3-5 minutes, and then mixed again for 1 minute. Mix until homogeneous and free of lumps. Pot life: approximately 30 to 60 min.
    On floors: apply the MD Eco STUC with a notched trowel to the desired thickness. It can be applied in a single layer and can be applied while standing. Go over the fresh material with a finishing trowel to level and finish it.
    On walls and furniture: the material is applied directly to the walls with a hand trowel. After 4-6 hours the floor is dry enough to apply the hardener. This treatment gives the material its wear resistance. It is essential for floors, but not always necessary on walls. Let the material dry for 24 hours. The material must not be covered and must not be exposed to direct sunlight, rain or strong draught/wind while curing.
