Consumption

All values are theoretical and do not take into account any additional product needed because of the porosity of the substrate, the surface profile or differences in level, nor material losses, etc.

• Dew point                         :  Beware of condensation! The temperature of the substrate and of the uncured product must be at least 3 °C above the dew point in order to reduce the risk of condensation or white bloom on the surface of the applied product.

​ Mixing and applying Mixing instructions

• 
  Mix the material using a mixing machine. First add 3.8 litres of water per 20 kg of powder material to the mixing vessel. Then pour in the MD ECO SL while stirring. For manual use, a hand mixer and a mixing paddle are recommended. When using the corresponding mixing paddle, a suitable thread adapter must be used.
  The material must be mixed intensively for 2 minutes, then left to stand for 2 minutes and mixed again for 1 minute.
  The individual mixing batches must be mixed quickly and evenly.
  The material must be poured out seamlessly within the pot life.
  For manual application, an aeration time of no more than 5 minutes must be observed between the end of the mixing time and the application of the material. This keeps the rise of air bubbles in the poured material to a minimum. After mixing, apply MD ECO SL to the primed surface and
  spread it with a flat trowel to the intended thickness. To avoid tool marks in the fresh surface, a conventional trowel must not be
  used. For optimum levelling of the fresh mortar and to maintain the flatness tolerances according to DIN 18202, a layer thickness of approx. 4-6 mm is recommended for larger areas. The required layer thickness depends on the surface quality of the substrate to be coated. Use a thin spiked roller on the freshly
  applied mortar for better adhesion and structure. Make sure the spikes are long enough. Alternatively, you can use a surface scraper to smooth the surface. During the first 24 hours the coating must be protected against drying too quickly (sunlight, draught), frost and rain. Do not cover the finished surface with foil or other materials.
  Application on larger areas
  For larger areas the use of larger mixers or mixing pumps is recommended:
  >50m²: mobile mixing station
  >300m²: continuous mixing pump duo mix mixing system
